Pizza Bagel Pictures

is a queer, female-led production company creating bold, socially impactful stories that amplify voices too often excluded from mainstream media.

OUR MISSION

Pizza Bagel Pictures, LLC exists to disrupt the imbalance of who gets seen, heard, and remembered on screen.

The demand for this work is undeniable. The LGBTQ+ community represents an estimated $1.4 trillion in U.S. spending power, while women drive the majority of consumer purchasing decisions nationwide. Yet LGBTQ+ representation in film remains critically limited, with recent GLAAD research showing inclusive films declining and trans representation remaining alarmingly scarce.

At the same time, studies from ReFrame, UCLA, and the Geena Davis Institute continue to prove what audiences already know: inclusive storytelling performs. Female-led and gender-balanced productions consistently reach larger audiences, drive stronger engagement, and better reflect the world we actually live in.

Pizza Bagel Pictures, LLC is built on this truth: representation is not a trend, it is a responsibility, and a creative advantage.

PBP is a filmmaker-first, impact-driven production company dedicated to amplifying female, queer, and intersectional voices both in front of and behind the camera. PBP’s work centers stories of identity, resilience, and belonging, stories that challenge systems, expand empathy, and create space for communities who have historically been pushed to the margins.

Through projects like “Sorority” and beyond, PBP approaches storytelling as both an artistic pursuit and a social intervention, creating films that don’t just entertain but foster dialogue, healing, and cultural shift.

Founder, Ashley Gianni, hires with intention, collaborates with purpose, and creates with impact.

BECAUSE WHEN YOU CHANGE WHO TELLS THE STORY, YOU CHANGE THE STORY ITSELF, AND WHEN YOU CHANGE THE STORY, YOU CHANGE THE CULTURE.

From the mind of a pizza bagel

Ashley Gianni is an award-winning LGBTQ+ filmmaker, actor, and founder of Pizza Bagel Pictures, LLC,

a queer, female-led production company dedicated to telling bold, socially impactful stories. Her work centers on uplifting queer and female voices, using storytelling as a tool for connection, healing, and change.

She recently appeared alongside Lindsay Lohan in a national Pure Leaf Tea campaign, and made her directorial debut with “Sorority”, a trans-centric short that earned 14 Official Selections and 7 awards, including the 2025 CinePride Brian Anderson Memorial Award and Cinema Diverse’s Director’s Choice. Ashley Executive Produced, Directed, Co-Wrote, and starred in the film, created by a predominantly queer, all-female team.

Ashley Executive Produced, Co-Wrote, and starred in the 2024 award-winning short film “The Fuscos” (12 Official Selections, 5 awards), a queer, female-driven twist on the classic 70s mob film.

Her latest short, “The Late in Life Guide to Modern Day Lesbianism”, will hit the 2026 festival circuit, a satirical yet heartfelt 90s-style training video exploring identity, belonging, and the joy of coming into yourself.

Ashley is currently financing her drag-inspired LGBTQ+ feature comedy “No Rules”, a Top 5% Coverfly script with 12 laurels. Ashley holds a BFA in Theatre Performance from Chapman University and is a proud SAG-AFTRA, WIF, WIM, and FilmmakeHERs member, and female, queer storyteller.
